Wieder mal das Wetter gecheckt und den „besten“ Tag für eine Bewanderung des Egmont Nationalparks ausfindig gemacht. Na wenn wir schon ein Stück des Mount Taranaki hinaufwandern, dann wollen wir ihn auch sehen.
In der Früh war’s dann noch so richtig bewölkt aber dann auf einmal keine 30 Minuten später: Sonnenschein, Gipfelsicht und kaiserkönigliches Frühstück … ja so lässt es sich in den Tag starten … schon ein Wahnsinn wenn der Tag gleich mal so beginnt.
Na dann schnell aufi am Berg bevor die Wolken wieder alles dicht machen. Diesmal hatten wir echt Glück mit dem Wetter, unten im Tal alles voller Wolken und hier oben Sonne und Wind 
Zurück ging es dann durch einen moosbewachsenen Wald, der uns an alle möglichen Märchen erinnerte.
